Tough Weekend in Canadian Motorsports Park Testing went well for the team with Mark Wilkins in the number 38 B.R.A.K.E.S Kia Optima setting the fastest time, with Ben slightly disappointed to end up 8th, just a mere 0.2 behind Mark, showing the competitiveness of the field. This left everyone aware of how important it would be to extract the maximum in qualifying, as a mistake could be the difference between pole and 10th. At the end of the 30 minute session the experienced British driver was left a frustrating 11th, as the times got faster from testing.

With overtaking difficult at the high speed Canadian Motorsports Park, Race 1 became a case of trying to take advantage of other peoples mistakes. With a few retirements and a couple of overtakes the Kia team eventually finished up with the number 38 Optima in 5th and the 36 Kia in 7th by the flag.

Race 2 followed a similar pattern to race 1, with the Northampton based driver 8th at the end of the 50 minute sprint race.

Ben was slightly frustrated afterwards: Itís been a tough weekend. I didnít really have the pace the whole time and it was a case of trying to get as many points as we could. I accidently touched Mark in race 2, which Iím very sorry for, it was a move I certainly shouldnít have gone for. We were hoping for more pace this weekend, as Kia have won here in the past, especially after such a strong Barber. Road America is next, so hopefully that will be a stronger weekend for us!Ē
