American Debut in Continental Tire Series With testing being mostly wet, after only a handful of dry laps on the circuit, qualifying was left to the young Brit, with no-one really knowing what to expect. After a good lap on the new tyres, at the end of the 15 minute session the number 33 Kinetic run BMW finished up 3rd.

Ben started the 2.5 hour race, and a battle at the front between the top 5 immediately got under way. As his stint came to an end, the BMW M3 was running a strong 5th as Jade jumped in. Unfortunately, soon into Jade’s stint an accident in front of him left him nowhere to go. He got hit from behind and after contact with the wall, was sent into retirement.

Ben wasn’t too disappointed afterwards: “What happened to Jade is just one of those things. It wasn’t his fault at all, just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think we had a really good car, so it’s a shame we couldn’t get a good result for the team, but qualifying 3rd and running easily in the top 5 showed we had the pace. I really enjoyed the whole experience of racing in America, so I’m very thankful to Kinetic Motorsports for inviting me over. I hope I can make it back out there.”
