A Dominant Win in Le Mans Despite none of the number 51 Ginettas drivers having been to Le Mans before, they were instantly on the pace, setting the fastest time comfortably in both free practice sessions. More of the same followed in qualifying, when Ben set the fastest time to put them on pole. Unfortunately during the lap the young Brit hit one of the plastic bollards around the circuit, meaning the organisers took away his time, leaving them with his second fastest lap counting and therefore 2nd on the grid.

The Escuela EspaŮola de Pilotos run Ginetta lined up on the grid with Pedro at the wheel. The trio knew their team mates would be the main threat for the win, but after just a handful of laps Pedro passed the sister car and had shot into the lead. After a great first stint, Francisco jumped in and lapped consistently fast for the next hour. Ben was given the task of bringing home the victory. He didnít disappoint and at the end of the 4 hour affair they ran out comfortable winners.

A hot but jubilant Ben said afterwards ďThat was just a fantastic race. Pedro did a brilliant first stint and Francisco did an equally superb middle stint. The team made exactly the right strategy calls; I really donít think it was possible to go any better. Iím over the moon with the result.Ē
