Although a mechanical problem meant missing the first test session on Friday, fastest in the second session and second quickest in the third one, was encouraging. Overtaking is very difficult at Ruapuna so second in qualifying was a decent outcome.

The first race was actually the one held over from the previous meeting due to bad weather. Grid order was determined by lap speed in race 2 of that meeting - so car 84 was on grid 4. A place was made at the start passing Daniel Gaunt and the order was maintained to the flag.

The next 3 races were one of the international series - the Lady Wigram Trophy being awarded to the winner of the final race. As a result this had attracted some additional entries. Because of this drivers were allowed 6 tyres for the meeting rather than the usual 4 - allowing drivers options on when to use their tyres. Some drivers elected to used tyres early in the hope of securing good grid slots for early races - and overall points - and others focussed on the Lady Wigram trophy.

In the first race a good start nearly saw the ESWA up into the lead - but not quite - and Ben Harford took the win. Race order was maintained to the flag with the 84 car a comfortable second. 3rd quickest determined Ben's grid slot for race 2.

Another good start in Race 2 saw a place made and Ben again maintained a comfortable second at the flag. However only 6th fastest meant a lot of work for the final race.

The final race was over 25 laps. 3 places were gained in a terrific start. However, early pace was not good and Ben had to defend from Shane Van Gisbergen in fourth. However his pace picked up as the race progressed and the two of them caught up with the leading pair, but were unable to pass.

Ben is now in third place in the championship with 479 points Daniel Gaunt is on 562 points and Ben Harford on 514.
